The Lucy Cavendish – Trinity Global Health Studentship
Lucy Cavendish College and Trinity College are offering one annual scholarship to support a student undertaking an MPhil related to global health and infectious diseases in the academic years 2026-27. This award is part of a programme funded by donors to Lucy Cavendish College and Trinity College. The donors wish the award to be granted to an individual who would otherwise be unable to afford undertaking an MPhil in this area.
The Studentship covers Postgraduate Course Fees (or a partial contribution to the cost of Overseas fees) and a Maintenance allowance (at the UKRI rate) for the duration of the MPhil.
Eligible candidates must have applied to the University of Cambridge for admission to an MPhil and must specify Trinity as their first or second College preference in their admissions application.
Any MPhil courses in the Biological Sciences and Population Health Sciences dealing with global health and infectious diseases listed in the University of Cambridge postgraduate course directory will qualify. Eligible applicants will be included in the competition on the basis of their University Application Form.
Further details of the award can be found on the Postgraduate Funding Search pages:

College Funding
Cambridge Colleges provide financial support to postgraduate students through various bursaries and studentships. Most of these opportunities are listed in the Postgraduate Funding Search. However, applicants are encouraged to check individual College websites for further opportunities as some Colleges offer additional funding not included in the Funding Search. Please note that a number of College awards require a separate application submitted outside the applicant portal, sometimes with different deadlines.
To be considered for College funding, many Colleges ask that applicants list them as their preferred College in their application. Other college funding awards will consider most applicants regardless of college preference. If you receive funding from a College, you must transfer to that College to accept the funding.
